About Alice Grey Harrison
It's not often you meet a southern girl who speaks french and loves red wine just as much as sweet tea. That's me! I grew up in a small southern town, but from day one had eyes wide open searching to learn more about the world around me and afar. Funny thing is, in all of my travels I have yet to discover anything as sweet as the Carolina sky on a crisp fall day.
After graduating from the University of the South with a BA in Philosophy and a minor in French, I did what most liberal arts grads do who are without a job and no real sense of direction, I packed up and moved to a cool city. My career began in Washington, DC and luckily I stumbled into a career in public relations and marketing. I am always amazed at how things just have a way of working out. I can't imagine doing anything else professionally. Today, I am a communications professional with Dixon Hughes Goodman, a US top 15 accounting firm, and I serve in a variety of leadership roles for professional organizations such as the Public Relations Society of America (President) and the Association for Accounting Marketing (Board Member).
What does this southern girl like to do other than enjoy a glass of sweet tea on my front porch? I live a work hard/play hard life style. Most days end with an intense hot yoga class, weekends are spent on the boat and I am always planning our next vacation. I seek stolen moments to cozy up with a good book, get crazy with paint and canvas and I love anything French. And I would certainly be remiss to not mention my patient, kind and loving husband, Corey and our precious dogs, Woody who loves me no matter what kind of day I have had, and Tilloo, the sweetest black dog in the world.
toujours! ag
PS: Everyone calls me Alice Grey- two first names. I've always felt extra special. One name just wasn't enough!
